Umatilla County, Oregon (OR) – On Thursday evening, a bull rider participant died after a vehicle rear-ended a commercial vehicle on I-82 in Oregon.
A Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Jate Frost, 20-year-old of Randlett, UT, was heading eastbound when it crashed the back of a commercial motor vehicle, driven by Ediberto Ramirez Carrillo, 31-year-old of Hermiston
Frost was seriously harmed and was airlifted to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. The right front occupant in the Jetta, Richard Schleicher, 24-year-old of Stockton, OK, suffered critical injuries and was declared dead.
The back seat passenger in the Jetta, Jesse Hopper, 21-year-old, of Magnum, OK was seriously injured and was taken to OHSU in Portland. CMV operator, Ramirez Carrillo, was unharmed. All three passengers of the Jetta were participants at the Pendleton Roundup. The CMW was filled with potatoes.
