Marion County, Oregon – A motorcyclist is dead and his passenger seriously injured after an oncoming motorist crosses into their lane on HWY 214.
On August 26th, 2019 at approximately 11:57 AM a Toyota Corolla operated by Doyle Lewis (82) of Salem was traveling northbound on HWY 214 when he lost control of his car and it crossed into oncoming lanes and collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Mark Clark (69) of Salem and a passenger Brandi Wilcut (29) of Salem.
Clark was transported by Life Flight to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Wilcut was transported by ambulance to Silverton Hospital with serious injuries. Lewis was not injured in the crash.
Correction: We previously published Mark’s age as 59 but have corrected it to reflect his actual age of 69.
