One Killed, Two Injured in I-880 Crash Involving a Tesla

Fremont, California – One person is dead after a Tesla rear ended a Ford Ranger pickup truck. A passenger in the Ranger was ejected from the vehicle. 

Both drivers were injured in the crash. It is unknown the cause of the crash or is autopilot was activated before the accident occured. The Tesla sedan rear ended the Ford Ranger in the northbound lane of I-880 between the Mowry Avenue and Stevenson Boulevard in Fremond, California. 

The deceased male was transported to Stanford Hospital where he succumbed to his injured. The two drivers were taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for treatment of their injuries.
