Tehama County, California (CA) – On Monday, October 7, 2024, a car accident happened on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Liberal Avenue, near the Rolling Hills Casino and Resort in Tehama County, CA.
The collision occurred when a 2004 Ford Edge, operated by 52-year-old Estella Cedillo-Chavez of Fresno, hit an unidentified 39-year-old man from Corning who was crossing the freeway.
The driver of the Ford Edge pulled over in the second lane and called 911 for help. Approximately two minutes later, a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria sedan, driven by 71-year-old William Ridge from Orland, rear-ended the stopped Ford Edge.
Paramedics arrived to assist those involved, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. However, they transported five individuals with varying injuries to Enloe Hospital.
